RECOVERY TIME AFTER THE COMPETITION.

Recovery time will depend on several factors, but mainly on the distance covered in the race. Normally, for a triathlon sprint race it takes 7 to 10 days for the muscles to recover. For an Olympic triathlon distance it would be 10 to 14 days. For the Ironman 70.3 distances we take 14 to 28 days and 140.6 over 28 days. Remembering that there are factors that can accelerate or delay recovery, such as nutrition and post-race hydration. Massage and other therapies are very welcome, for example cryotherapy.
